With three weeks before NSW Parliament returns and while the Olympics dominate most media, what better time to provide an update on the goings-on under the O'Farrell Government.

Since the last edition of Red Leather, the NSW Budget was delivered and sank without a trace. It left in its wake $1.2 billion worth of unidentified budget cuts, 10,000 public servants sacked, no money for the National Disability Insurance Scheme, no progress on the Parramatta to Epping rail link, cuts to workers compensation and the opening up of our national parks to hunters.  John Robertson's budget reply speech gives a good overview.
