O’FARRELL GOVERNMENT SHOULD RELEASE NEW TRAIN TIMETABLE FOR PUBLIC CONSULTATION

The NSW Opposition has called on the O’Farrell Government to release the new draft train timetable for public consultation to give commuters the full picture of future services to their local train station and the opportunity to have their say.

The draft timetable – which is set to be implemented in October – will mean huge changes across the entire rail network, yet the full and final draft remains a secret.

“Commuters have a right to know what the new timetable will mean for them,” Opposition Leader John Robertson said.

“The Government shouldn’t be hiding this timetable – it should be released immediately for community consultation.

O'FARRELL FORGETS THE ILLAWARRA – AGAIN


 


The O'Farrell Government has left the fast-growing suburbs of Flinders and Shell Cove in the lurch – failing to fund the completion of Flinders railway station promised by both parties at the State election, Opposition Leader John Robertson said on a visit to the Illawarra today.


 


"Building a station at Flinders is vital to give local residents easy access to the rail network without having to drive kilometres down the road to Dunmore," Mr Robertson said.

O'FARRELL SWINGS THE AXE ON 350 TRANSPORT JOBS

NSW Opposition Leader John Robertson has demanded the O'Farrell Government guarantee no services will be affected by the huge job cuts announced today by his Transport and Roads Ministers. 

"The Premier must explain how he will cut 350 positions from Transport and Roads departments without affecting services," Mr Robertson said.
