"Feminism is a socialist, anti-family, political movement that
encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."

I thought it was about equality...

Remembering workers who die on the job

Unions NSW and Workcover today hosted the International Day of Mourning (also known as the Worker's Memorial Day). This service was held in Sydney to honour those who have lost their lives at work. This years service paid a special tribute to Bernie Banton and his family.

Public Service staff are essential

Yesterday I participated in the rally in front of parliament house to protest staff cuts both at parliament house and across the public sector.

Public service staff are essential to the operation of our parliaments, our governments and our communities.

Public servants are teachers, nurses and police officers. Public servants deliver the services that the community needs and expects. Child protection, housing, environmental protection and land management to name just a few.

In agencies across NSW, they are responsible for delivering the policy agenda set by governments. Public servants provide all the back office support that keeps these services operating.
